Our Basic Needs Initiative assists Carolina students by providing financial support when they need assistance with unexpected and unavoidable life emergencies that cause unforeseen expenses.
The fund provides needed financial relief for situations such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, fire damage, need for temporary housing, natural or manmade disasters or pandemics.
Because funds do not have to be repaid, the number of students who can be served by the Basic Needs Initiative is subject to the availability of funds.
